Houston rebuild on track as club takes its 8th D1 crown

Posted by: Newswire, 2019-12-06, 204 Views

After a dry spell of almost five seasons, AN powerhouse Houston is finally back in the big time, having secured its 8th D1 crown for this season. The club has struggled against up-and-coming contenders in recent seasons, which took turns to dislodge the veteran club from the top. However, with none of these clubs able to build a long-lasting legacy, the Texan club was able to return to the top following a dominant season in the top league.

AN News spoke to manager Pavel Marceux:

Reporter: After a tough few seasons, the fans finally have something to cheer. Are you happy to be back on top?

Marceux: It's been a tough road and I'm glad the fans have stuck with the club through this difficult rebuild time. In fact, if you look at it statistically, we have been the top club in the division every season in terms of shots, so I think we've just been really unlucky and haven't been able to transfer this dominance into goals. All this riff riff has been taking our glory, but it was just a matter of time. We're back and we want to go on a dominant five-season title haul. I WANT BLOOD I WANT VENGEANCE ..."

Reporter: Sorry for that ladies and gentleman, we've had to cut the transmission there as the manager started using profanities live on air. Good night, all!
